It gave me the tools I needed to get started quickly and easily. It teaches you to improve your patience. And be in a more peaceful state of mind. It also shows you how to reduce the amount of negative thoughts you’re having. Actually its approach to disturbing thoughts is also very practical. It teaches you to allow all of your thoughts in. Instead of blocking everything out. This helped me to feel a lot less intimidated by the thought of meditating. Before I was kind of scared of my thoughts. Now I knew I needn't be. Since I’ve started meditating I’ve increased my sessions as my technique improves. So far it has helped me with my anxiety disorder quite a bit. I’m actually taking less medication now. I plan to increase my meditation time and continue to meditate. Because it has helped me so much in a few short weeks. In addition to feeling less anxious I also have more energy and increased focus. I would definitely recommend this book especially for those beginning to meditate, or those who are considering starting a meditation routine. |
