My College Anxiety Attack

During my time as a junior and senior in college I felt like I was going through a very hard time. I had experienced my first anxiety attack and the pressures of school and work were becoming very overwhelming for me.

Conventional Medicine?

I had gone to the doctor expecting the doctor to do something to make me feel better. Well, he prescribed me some medication of course and suggested that I see a counselor.

This medication did me absolutely no good! I did go see the counselor a couple of times and that was helpful but for some reason did not continue going.

I started to ask myself how I was going to feel better because I certainly was not going to feel this stress for the rest of my life. Well, I started to buy books and books and more books! I read a lot and learned of more holistic ways to help relieve my stress. I bought yoga videos and did yoga a lot. I went to the gym at the college that I went to and worked out through this stress.

My Own Stress Cure

I finally realized that there was not anything in a pill or counseling session that was going to cure my stress. It was my own remedies of exercise, yoga, meditation, and positive thinking that were able to bring me through the situation!
