Corpse Pose Super Relaxing

My favorite yoga pose would have to be corpse pose actually. After doing all of the yoga positions and movements over and over throughout my routine it’s nice to be able to just lay down and relax.

Whenever I get into corpse pose I always stay there for a while to meditate. I think meditating is important. Especially in yoga. To relax and clear your mind is important to me. But I find it to be best after a yoga session because my body is generally calm.

But clearing my mind can sometimes be very difficult. So to have found a yoga pose that helps is really nice.

I have actually fallen asleep in the corpse pose during a yoga class I went to with a few friends. Music was put on and I cleared my mind completely in this position and just peacefully fell asleep.

The pose is quite simple. Just lie on your back on your yoga mat with your legs straight out. Place your arms by your side.

I generally stretch out my muscles while doing this by turning my neck from side to side slowly which is good for your spine. I also like to squeeze my muscles and release them in all areas of my body at separate times. I feel that after I do this my body is super relaxed.
