Heart chakra meditation or heart meditation is a simple technique that releases sadness and fear from your heart and fills it with love and compassion. It is an easy meditation to practice that brings you closer to your inner self and to God.

Heart meditation helps you understand who you are and connects you to the your true self in the most perfect way. The process of heart meditation contains several steps, and with each step you are drawn closer to who you really are. It is important to remain completely focused while performing heart meditation, to achieve maximum benefit.

How to do Heart Meditation?

  • Breathe in deeply and hold your breath inside your lungs for a few seconds. Now release your breath slowly and relax.
  • Feel completely at ease. Free your body of any tension, stress or discomfort. Again breathe in deeply, hold and release (just like in the first step).
  • Your mind should be free of any disturbing or interfering thoughts. Stop all mental activities and prepare your mind for heart meditation.
  • Continue the process of deep breathing and exhaling. Release your mind of all shackles and boundaries so that it achieves a tranquil and peaceful state. This step of heart meditation takes you to no-thought zone.
  • Move your concentration to your heart. Move your consciousness to your heart and experience the force of openness, acceptance and love.
  • Allow feelings of love to spread throughout your body with each and every heart beat. With the rhythmic beating of your heart, feel yourself getting closer to your true self.
  • At this stage in heart meditation, think about the truth of your existence and your life's real purpose. You have every moment in every day to explore the love of God. Try seeing God in every single thing, be grateful for each other's existence and for the support of the universe.

The main purpose of heart meditation is to help you get in touch with your inner self - to find out who you really are, and what your actual purpose on earth is. By following the easy meditation techniques of heart meditation, you can open your heart to an endless flow of love for mankind, for the universe and for your own self.

It is important to focus your complete attention towards the process of heart meditation. This is because only when you are completely focused, you can learn about the real purpose of your existence. If your attention is diverted, you will not be able to carry out the process of heart meditation effectively. However with regular practice, maintaining concentration will not be a problem.

Try practicing heart meditation whenever you have free time, so you can master this form and get rid of all negative emotions forever. When your heart and mind are filled with feeling of affection, gratitude and love, there will no longer be any place for sadness, anger or fear - and this is what heart meditation is all about!
