How to Meditate A Guide to Self Discovery

How to Meditate - A Guide to Self Discovery by Lawrence LeShan is the best book on meditation that I have read.

What really stood out for me was the first chapter. It explained what it means to meditate. Why people should do it. And the benefits that are there for those who choose meditation. All this really put things in perspective for me.

I was always curious about meditation. And whether it would fit with my own religious tradition. This book really did a good job of explaining this for me.

I also liked the descriptions of different types of meditation. And the way readers are encouraged to try them all out to find the best fit. Leshan covers Zen meditation, body awareness, silence, and various other forms. He's also included exercises so you can try them out for yourself. I thought this was really cool. Very helpful.

I really liked the Zen Meditation. Even though its hard at first to block out all thoughts that come into your mind. Over time and with practice at least once a day it really helped my concentration in school. And I saw an improvement in my grades!

I really enjoyed this book. Read it if you're curious about meditation and want to experience peace of mind. Relaxation. And increased focus and attention.
