How to Meditate - A Guide to Self-Discovery by Laurence LeShan.

This is a great book for those beginning to meditate and for those still just entertaining the idea. It is straightforward and easy to understand. This was one of the first books that I bought when I started meditating and I still use it as a reference more than any other.

When I first started using this book as a guide my stress level was reduced significantly. The breathing techniques alone are worth the cost of the book. I can honestly say that meditating has changed my life.

Before I started meditating I was on anti anxiety medication. But I no longer have a need for the medication.

This is also the book that I always recommend to friends who are interested in learning more about meditation, because this book explains the mysteries of meditation and makes it easy to understand for everyone. LeShan explains that all you really need to do is to follow the guidelines of this book. There’s not really a need to take classes or hire a guru.

Just try some of the different techniques until you find what works for you.
