Isolation Stress

Isolation can really can a lot of stress. Here's how it happened to me and how I dealt with it.
At one point in my life everything felt like it was falling apart.
I had recently moved out of my house, broken up with my boyfriend, lost my job, and had no clue what to do with myself. I spent much time in the house which led to a bitter frustration and nothing seemed to get better. I began to get sick a lot. After weeks of moping around I decided that my behaviour was not productive and if I wanted to change my circumstances I would need to be an active part in that process.
It was after making that decision that things in my life began to turn around. I bought two exercise machines and started up a daily workout that enabled me to eliminate all my anger and stress. I decided to go back to school and finish my education which empowered me emotionally. I got over my bitter feelings with family and began making phone calls again.
A short time had passed and I realized that all of those changes had been for the better. Had that crisis not happened in my life I would’ve always been the same. It was important for me to reflect on what I had learned and think positively about my situation.
I would recommend always meditating and talking to other people to get an accurate perspective on any situation. Isolation and self-criticism may not always be productive and can lead to repressed anger and depression. It is important to deal with the problems that confront us in life.
