And leads you quite naturally to a calm, peaceful quiet place. Mantra Meditation - How to Do ItAs usual I'll explain how to do the meditation. Then you try. Here's how..... Sit comfortably but upright in your chair. If you've been following the easy meditation techniques course then just sit in your usual position. Bring your attention to your body for a few moments. Notice how it feels. Notice any areas of tension and allow them to relax. Stay with the sensations in your body for a few moments...... Now start to repeat the word "One" in your mind. Don't say the word out loud or mouth it silently. There's no need to force the mantra. This will just give you a headache, and make you more stressed. Just say it gently in your mind. Let the mantra take its own pace. You don't need to think the mantra clearly. The word should be subtle. It might be just a vague impression. Don't worry if this isn't clear now. It will happen naturally after a few minutes of doing the meditation - as long as you remember the modern meditation essential attitudes:
You might have thoughts and feelings coming up through the meditation. Don't worry about this. You don't have to force the thoughts away. Just let them run alongside the mantra- like two friends engaged in a conversation. Ok you try..... Sit comfortably in your chair. Upright but relaxed. Become aware of your body for a few moments. Next start to gently repeat the mantra "One" in your mind. Close your eyes now and return here in 15 minutes.
