Meditations for Transformation

“Meditations for Transformation” is a compilation of different visualizations to work through while meditating. It is compiled by Larry Moen. With visualizations by John Bradshaw, Shakti Gawain and many others. The book takes you through a number of different guided meditations you can do by yourself or in a group setting.

The very first meditation, “Creating the Silence”, is a great start to those interested in trying guided meditation. As with eastern meditation, the first step is simply to become empty. To calm your racing thoughts and distractions in your mind.

Pauses are inserted throughout. And the segment before the first pause can easily be used as a general calming meditation or as a start to any of the other visualizations. With enough practice you may not need the initial calming mediation. But it always helps me get in the magic mood, so to speak.

The meditations are written in such a way that they can be read aloud in a group setting, such as any ritual or gathering. The 60 visualizations in this book cover everything from healing to past life regression. To visualizations for children worried about tests.

The visualization of “Eating in a Sacred Manner” has helped me with stomach problems and to better appreciate the sacrifices made for our everyday meals. I would recommend this for anyone interested in trying guided meditations and visualization in their meditation.
