Skiing for Stress

My Story on Skiing, Friends and Stress.

This past winter I accepted a new position within the company I worked for.

This new position entailed almost total responsibility for my particular department. I was a first nervous about this but I adapted quickly.

Predictably there was a lot of stress entailed with this promotion as well a long hours. I found that the best way to deal with the stress of this all was physical activity and time with friends.

I work within the snow sports industry and as part of my benefits I receive a ski pass. Even if it wasn't a full day out on the slopes even a run could boost my spirits and make me feel more refreshed.

Old School Stress Techniques?

I also made a point to get together with friends every few weeks, have dinner and drinks and a few runs and I felt completely rejuvenated! Both of these 'techniques' sound a bit old school but I feel that they are a much better alternative to modern medication therapies.
