The Miracle of Mindfulness

by Sebastian Metselaar
(Cleveland, Ohio)

The Miracle of Mindfulness by Thich Nhat Hanh is a great meditation book.

Not only does Thich Nhat Hanh tell you how to meditate, but he describes how he feels while meditating. Personally I find this a huge advantage over other books because it inspired me to really pursue that same feeling.

I wanted to meditate until I experienced what Thich Nhat Hanh described so well.

The author has such vivid memories of meditating. Somehow he finds a way to describe this in the most detailed manner. He can recall every feeling and thought he experienced during meditation.

These descriptions really create an interest with readers and tempt them to start meditating. And beginners who already meditate now and again will be inspired to meditate more often.

This is the most appealing part of the book and the reason why you should buy it. The writing forces you to give meditation a try. . And giving meditation a try is the first step to meditating regularly.

Many books only give you different meditation techniques. Not very interesting or inspiring. But showing you how you can feel by meditating is something very few books do. And it's what makes this book unique.

My rating would be a 9/10.
