The Scorpion Pose

by Carol
(LA, CA)

The scorpion pose has always been my favorite.

I need to be totally relaxed, very comfortable and focused. I begin by making a triangle with my forearms on the floor, interlocking my fingers and placing my head down in side of them. So my hands support my head.

I complete the head stand by slowly bringing my legs upwards. Then I arch my back, & bring my legs down towards my head, toes pointed downwards.

Next I unlock my fingers & move my forearms parallel to each other, then slowly lift my head. Slowly breathing & relaxing. Reversing the steps to come down.

Not for most beginners, but a beautiful & wonderful pose to master.
