Wherever You Go There You Are by Jon Kabat-Zinn

Meditation, for me, is something very private and personal.

For that reason, it is much easier and more helpful for me to learn meditation techniques from a book rather than a class or teacher.

"Wherever You Go, There You Are" was incredibly meaningful and useful, and was very relevant to the kind of meditation I enjoy. It is very much focused on the everyday, what meditation can do for the practitioner.

His first book was much more about the fundamentals, while this book goes much deeper into the subject. It gives practical advice and exercises, which i really appreciated, and the language is simple and easy to follow. It really gives you a new perspective on your daily life: I find myself watching my children do the simplest tasks, like washing dishes, and just smiling and enjoying the moment as it passes.

It has really changed the way I live and enjoy my life, and I have the author Jon Kabat-Zinn to thank for that. The message he has for readers isn't trendy or fancy, but is extremely relevant and useful, and taps into a collective consciousness that can change the way you look at our world. I highly recommend this book for intermediate meditation practitioners.
